38th Annual AAHPA Conference

October 2-6, 2017
Petersburg, Alaska

Every year, AAHPA members come together for our annual conference. Anyone who has been to a conference will attest - it's good people, talking about important and good work. You will learn more than enough to cover the cost of attending through increased savings, efficiency, professional networks and grant opportunities throughout the rest of the year.

Our corporate members rotate the responsibility for hosting the conference. Members can login to see past conference presentations, and all AAHPA awards are available to peruse at any time.

Our next conference will be held from October 2 - 6, 2017 in Petersburg. We are offering online registration this year! You can also register via mail, email, or fax - forms will be available by early-June. All payments must be made directly to the Petersburg Borough.

Agenda

The draft agenda is available for the conference, including a detailed description of Thursday's Design-Build intensive and the Administrative breakout day option.

NEW! Administrative Breakout Day

Successful ports and harbors have strong operations and administrative systems in place. AAHPA exists to serve and promote Alaska's port and harbor infrastructure, and we are looking to expand our networking to include more administrative support! Beginning this October, we'll be including an administrative/office breakout day. In Petersburg we'll focus on a facilitated discussion covering a variety of topics which may include: software, customer communication, e-billing and payment, delinquent accounts, impounds and liens, and sharing successes and challenges. If there is enough interest, we'll also work with attendees to look ahead and begin planning for a more robust administrative track during the 2018 conference in Seward.

You can find a draft agenda for the breakout day as part of the full agenda packet (updated 8/17/2017).
